Get Off On The Write Foot

Traditionally, at least for me, this time between Thanksgiving and New Year helps me connect with the spirit of joy, peace and gratitude. And when I express those emotions I strengthen, not just others but my own positive sense-of-self.
So, how exactly can we express our Joy, Peace and Gratitude?

I find it helps me to focus outward on the ones, personally and professionally, who contribute to my sense of success and self-worth. I find that my positive feelings are directly related to how much time and energy I spend making sure they know how I feel? So this year I am going a little ‘Old School’. I know it will take an extra minute or two to slow down a little and remember those closest.

This season I will take a dramatic step forward. I let others know how Joyful, Peaceful and Grateful I am. I take a direct and a personal approach.  I am committing the time to write a personal note to the people who make my life special.

I know a hand written note carries a great deal of importance, because of its scarcity. I will take this holiday challenge and write 30 personal notes over the next 30 days. This might make me feel overwhelming but I know the results will be worth the work. I know my heart will be lighter as I raise awareness to others of their importance in my life.
